Turnip ornament measures approximately 3 1/4" and is colored with white and purple. The Turnip ornament is assorted, but very similar in color. One has a bit more reddish color. Choose from red or purple in drop down box. Great for veggie collectors.

This traditional and beautiful glass ornament was carefully mouth-blown into a finely crafted mold. Then a hot solution of liquid silver was poured inside. Finally, it was delicately hand-painted and glittered for you to enjoy and cherish as a holiday heirloom!

According to an old English wives tale, turnips must be planted by naked gardeners. Perhaps the old women enjoyed the spectacle, or more likely, they knew that if turnips are planted too early when the soil and weather is still cold, the plants grow woody stalks and bolt to seed without developing tender, crisp, rounded roots.
